STOP Seeking Validation & Asking for Permission
As social beings we need and want to be accepted by others, but how far will some go for acceptance? Some go so far, even to the point when they deny their true selves in order to portrait someone who is acceptable to the "tribe" they want to be part of. But why baby? Why? Don't you know that if a pair of jeans don't fit, they still won't fit even if you try harder, and in the end, it will only make you feel uncomfortable? It must be exhausting to play daily the role of being someone else. I don't want to fit in if I don't fit in. I want to be liked for who I am and what I like defines me. I want to be real to what I like in order to attract similar values, personalities. Stop seeking validation and stop asking for permission are some of the first steps to build up confidence.
